AYM/1/February

What I am loving about this year's AYM---the ABC album---is what each person chooses for their topic. Our meeting next month is Tuesday, March 27th. We had to change it due to my travel schedule.
Jackie's been sick, so she only got one page done. On her page titled "Companion," she documented her relationship with Tyson.
Janet's layout titles are "Coastal Trip" and "Dancing with Dad." I especially loved her journaling about the father/daughter dance at Jackie's wedding. Ronnie has never been much of a dancer. But he did himself proud to Guns and Roses "Sweet Child of Mine." When it was over, he said it was quite a workout---it's a really long song. They were great!
Here's the layout I did for Connie---"Charming Charlie" about her youngest grandson. "Dolls, Dolls & more Dolls" is about her doll collection from childhood that continues to today.
Pam's layouts are "Chatty Cathy" and "Dance, Dance, Dance"
Karolyn's titles are "Crawfish and Crabs" and "Donuts." She used to eat a dozen donuts at a time.
My layout is titled "Camp Fire Girls" and "Driven." The "Driven" layout is about Steve Jobs, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Stephen King and ME. I journaled about how they are geniuses and visionaries with manic minds. I am just like them, except I don't make any money.
I did this layout for our family album: "Camping out for New Kids on the Block"tickets and "Donnie and Marie" in Las Vegas.
Lauren did her "C" layout about Canada in relation to Chris' baseball playing there. Her "D" page is titled "Devon Park Days" and has photos of all the girls who grew up together.
Nancy's layout is "Craft Room" about her vintage decorated room and "Daddy" about her dad.
Susan's layout is about her first car "see the use in your Chevrolet." Her "D" page is called: "fear of DOGS!" She related her fear of dogs that lasted until she agreed to let her husband and son get a hunting dog.
This is Mindy's layout from last month. "All About me" and "Boy Bands." She tells of her favorite bands and what it meant to get to go backstage and meet Donnie Wahlberg and Jordan Knight from the New Kids on the Block.
Mindy's layout for this month is "Cheers" and celebrates fun times with friends. In the envelope she has pull-outs of drinks. Her right side page is called "Dad says..." She had us in stitches as she related some stories about her dad's---often times---neglected advice.

Stephanie chose "unfinished Castle" and told of her love of castles. She documented about a cross stitch I bought her 20 years ago and is still unfinished. Her "D"page is called "Desert Island." She lists the 4 albums she would choose to listen to for life---"Hangin' Tough" by the New Kids, Violent Femmes, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles and the Bee Gees. That cracked me up since my sister, Jeanne, HATES the Bee Gees!
Jeanne's page is titled "Concert" and relates the story of the Barry Manilow concert that our niece, Ranya played the cello for. "Down by the River" tells the story of a family float trip.
Judy chose "Dancing with my Stars" as her "D" page and tells of her love of dancing. She accidentally photographed her pages in reverse. Her "C" page is about "the Colliseum" in Rome. Judy gets a nod for getting her layout to me first!
