This month's challenge is to scrapbook with a product or technique you've never used before. Base your layout on a number. Above are the colors to use: lime, red, orange, yellow and blue.

Also, the date for our meeting in June is going to be the 19th.

AYM/ABC

Jeanne's layout: "Identical Twins" & "Jennifer & Janice"
Janet:  "Italian Immigrant"
From Janet: "J" about all the people in the family whose names begin with the letter "J."
 "Island: Kauai" by Suzanne
"in the country" and "jealous of these two" are my layouts.
Another of my layouts. There is a pretty significant mistake here. If you were not at the meeting (and therefore know what the mistake is), leave me a comment below. The first person that figures it out gets a box of goodies from me.
Nancy's layouts: "in-laws" & "jambes in the pool."
Lauren's layouts: "Iroquois Steeplechase" & "Things that Bring Me Joy."
Pam's layouts: "ironing" & "jokester."
Stephanie's layouts from last month: "Geocaching" & "Hairrible."
Stephanie's layouts for this month: "iPhone" & "Jordan's Jungle."
 Mindy's layouts: "I Spy" & "jump, juggle & jog."
Mindy's layouts from last month: "Go Greenwave" & "Haute Couture Headpieces."

The layout I did for Connie's album: "idol" & "just jack."
 Judy's layout: "jewelry."
Judy's layout: "I am Italian & I got to see Italy."

Quite a few people were missing this month. I've also added the extra kit for June. I hope some don't start to fall too far behind. It can be hard to catch up. We'll see....posting TSRCC in the next couple of days.

When you have a lot of memorabilia to add to a layout, consider making a pocket page. They are pretty simple if you know what to do.
1. Decide what you want to make the pocket out of.
2. Using red line tape or something else super strong---regular tape runner won't cut it---apply to 3 sides.
3. Use a bone folder, popsicle stick or the edge of your scissors to really press it down.
4. decorate.
5. To put page protector on, remove "stuff" from pockets.
6. Slide page protector on.
7. Cut page protector at the pocket.
8. Use a glue dot on each side to hold page protector in place.
9. Put memorabilia back in the pocket. It will actually be on the outside of the page protector.

Hexagons are all the rage and I love them. The Creative Memories punch (discontinued) makes it easy.
A Simple border---notice how they carry from one page to the other to add visual flow.
If you enlarge this picture, you can see that after placing the hexagons, I stitched them down with a red zig zag stitch. I also stitched down the journaling blocks. Stitching directly on the photo looks good. I had never done that before.

You really can't go wrong with hexagons. And, they are a great way to use up scraps. Give it a try and send me pictures of your pages. I'll post them here.

A great way to use scraps is to make yourself a petal pattern. Cut from various scraps. Line up on bothsides of the page.

There are so many things you can do with a square punch. I showed how you can make little houses the last time. This time, you simply punch your squares---I used a 1 3/8" from Stampin' Up---the round 2 corners. I love the results!

AYM/3

The topic this month was to scrapbook your home. That could mean your house or houses, hometown or just a place that makes you feel comfortable and secure. Here are the results:
A layout from last month.
This is a fold out page. The layout below shows it folded up.

Brads and twine were used on a map to show all the places called home.

The topic for June is to complete this title: "Happiness is...." I also presented a challenge to look for inspiration all around from packaging to magazine pages. They are to bring in that inspiration piece to show how it compares to their page.
